Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne invites you to snowshoe along the Chenango Canal on Saturday, January 23 from 9:00 AM to Noon. The historic Chenango Canal was once the main transportation route for goods and people between Utica and Binghamton. Today the canal attracts many birds and wildlife and is a great place for a nice hike or snowshoe walk. Join a naturalist to walk along the canal to observe nature in winter and look for tracks and signs of wildlife. Snowshoes and instruction for use will be provided. If not enough snow, hike will be on foot. Families and individuals welcome. Please call Rogers Center at 607-674-4017 to register. Meet at the Rogers Center main parking lot to caravan. Free.
