Outdoor education has always been GREEN...and an effective way to teach STEM!
I am interested in participating on the board, if there is a need. My skills are in the area of communication (writing, public speaking) which I teach at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, where I am Writing Program Director. I have a master’s degree in Communication and will receive a PhD this semester in education from Syracuse University. For the past 10 years, I have presented environmental education programs at schools throughout the Northeast. I have published an endangered species counting book for children, along with 6 other books. I was head writer for an award-winning PBS children’s television series broadcast in 165 markets.
I would like to jump in as someone with a “fresh perspective”- but don’t want to step on toes. So if you have a need, please let me know…
