The Watershed Agricultural Council is excited to release a Request for Proposals for the coordination of the Green Connections Option of the Watershed Forestry Bus Tour Program. Individuals and organizations in NYC and the NYC Watershed region are encouraged to submit proposals by Monday, August 24th by 1:00PM. Please review the attached RFP for details.
The Green Connections Option of the Watershed Forestry Bus Tour Program supports year-long educational partnerships between pairs of 4-8th grade classrooms from urban and rural areas. Each partnership is between a downstate NYC classroom and an upstate NYC Watershed region classroom. Through a shared curriculum, letter exchanges, and watershed forestry-themed field trips, students discover the environmental and cultural dimensions of their world-famous NYC Watershed and water supply system.
- Proposals are due Monday, August 24 by 1:00PM.
- An information session will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 10:00AM at the East of Hudson WAC office at 1275 Hanover Street, Yorktown Heights, NY.
- Requests for clarification of this RFP must be made in writing to Tyler Van Fleet, Watershed Educator, by mail, facsimile or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2015.
