NYSOEA thrives due to the support and contributions from its members and affiliates. We are always looking out for content -- articles, news, event information, videos, photos etc from our members that we can publish on our website and print publications.
We call upon classroom teachers, environmental educators, college professors, naturalists, interpreters, youth leaders, administrators, students, youth, children, parents and others interested in the outdoors to fire their imagination and awareness and send us their contributions.
If you are a current NYSOEA member or one of our
current affiliate organizations, and would like to
submit your article, news, event, etc.:
Please send to:
webmaster (at) nysoea.org
We highly recommend attaching a relevant picture.
Images for the article should be sent as attachments. We only accept images with following file extensions (.jpeg and .jpg)
Preference is given to our current members and affiliates,
thus we may not be able to post every submission.
For our Pathways issue, we are looking for the following sections to be covered:
- Recipes of this season
- How to explore and enjoy nature this season?
- Reflections from events, conferences etc.
- Reaction to environment, outdoors and education in the news
- Other essays- Have a story to tell about the environment or educational experience?
- “Milestones”- highlighting achievements, life, death, etc. of certain individuals in the field.
If your work falls within any of those categories we invite you to send your submission for a future issue. Here are the deadlines for submission for each issue. We have rolling submissions, which means if you miss a deadline, we will publish your submissions on the website or save it for the next Pathways.
Simply send us the text with any supporting material -- pictures, newspaper clippings and more. We can receive it in any of the ways listed below.
