Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne invites you to an evening snowshoe walk on Saturday, January 30 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Observing nature at night by the light of a full moon can be quite fun. The lunar glow is usually bright enough to see the landscape around you and the sky is often quite clear and beautiful. It is the perfect time to join Rogers Center staff for an enjoyable walk on snowshoes to look and listen for owls, learn about nocturnal wildlife, and view the full Wolf Moon of January. Snowshoes will be provided. If there is not enough snow, walk will be on foot. Call Rogers Center at 607-674-4017 to register and for details. Meet in the Visitor Center. Free. Today the canal attracts many birds and wildlife and is a great place for a nice hike or snowshoe walk. Join a naturalist to walk along the canal to observe nature in winter and look for tracks and signs of wildlife. Snowshoes and instruction for use will be provided. If not enough snow, hike will be on foot. Families and individuals welcome. Please call Rogers Center at 607-674-4017 to register. Meet at the Rogers Center main parking lot to caravan.
